July 17, 2010 Sat.

Saturday began earlier than a normal school day because Katrin left. In anticipation of her family she was torn between joy and pain of parting. After a hearty and balanced breakfast she tied up some loose ends. Short after 8 o`clock we started direction Lebanon coach station. The farewell was brief but painful after our three week-life together where we had such lots of fun!
We left her to her fate on her trip to Boston where she had rented a motor home. She had to pick up her family at the airport in the evening with this vehicle.

We three went back and had a coffee in Woodstock, did some shopping before we – once more- drove to the familiar Echo Lake. The beach was really crowded but nevertheless we found a shady place…
Our minds we spent the whole day with Katrin and her big challenges until we got a short text message that she had arrived at the airport with the motor home safe and happy.
We enjoyed our dinner on the porch knowing that our friend had mastered all hurdles of the day.
Well done Katrin, we pay a big tribute!
Ruth
